The article highlighted some of the many topics covered and insights offered during “On the Road: Anne Arundel County” – a discussion of the many assets of Anne Arundel County, and the region’s future, by an expert panel that included MacQuilliam; Rice; Kristen Pironis, Executive Director of Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County; Gina Stewart, Executive Director of the BWI Business Partnership; and Kate Jordan, Principal at Lee & Associates.

Held on March 21, 2023 at Smashing Grapes in Annapolis, the event included, among many things:

• MacQuilliam explaining why “we spend more time on business retention than business expansion,” as well as discussing transit-oriented development and the revitalization of Glen Burnie Town Center and Odenton.
• Rice and Pironis providing positive updates on both the $28 million construction of the Noah Hillman Parking Garage and the $50 million overhaul of Annapolis City Dock in downtown Annapolis.
