Farm Equipment Rental Program

“AAEDC supports a variety of farming needs while promoting conservation practices.”

Anne Arundel County currently offers a rental program which makes farm equipment available at reasonable prices. The program, which aims to support a variety of farming needs while promoting conservation practices, is funded through a grant from the Southern Maryland Agricultural Development Commission (SMADC) with in-kind participation from T&C Farm Services. Equipment is available for rental in the 5 southern Maryland counties: Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Prince George’s and St. Mary’s.

• Manure Spreader
• Round Baler
• Spinner Spreader
• 5′ All Purpose Seeder
• Raised Bed Mulch Layer
• Cattle Squeeze Chute & Scale
• Mobile Poultry Processing Unit
• Jang JP-1 Seeder

To rent equipment, you will need to provide a certificate of liability insurance for a minimum of $1 million. AAEDC and Tom Collinson need to be listed as additional insured (AAEDC and Sarah Campbell for Mobile Poultry Processing Unit).

Please follow the process below:

Step 1: Complete the rental application. This application will need to be submitted for each rental. Please have your insurance certificate on hand to upload in this step. Applications will be denied if the applicant has past-due invoices or their insurance is expired. In this case, AAEDC will reach out to the applicant. You will receive an email once your application has been approved. The approval email must be provided to Tom Collinson or Sarah Campbell when picking up the equipment.

Step 2: Contact Sarah Campbell (MPU) or Tom Collinson (all other equipment) to schedule pick-up of equipment. Contact information provided in application approval email. Applicant must provide approval email to Sarah or Tom when picking up equipment to verify eligibility.

Step 3: Complete the post-rental report. A link to this report will be included in your application approval email. Once you have completed your rental, click on the “view form” link in your approval email and complete the form. This information is required. Failure to provide this information will prohibit renter of future equipment use.
