Made possible through grant funds from the Southern Maryland Agricultural Development Commission, we are excited to announce the addition of a Mobile Processing Unit (MPU) to our Equipment Rental Program!
To rent the unit, please complete the rental application here.
- Applicants will need to provide a certificate of liability insurance for a minimum of $1 million, listing AAEDC and Sarah Campbell/New Roots Farm as additional insured.
- Lessee assumes all liability when towing and using MPU. Lessee agrees to be responsible for the cost of all repairs made necessary during the lease period beyond normal wear and tear.
- Please inspect unit upon pick-up and notify Sarah Campbell/AAEDC of any damage prior to rental.
- Clean unit at conclusion of use. Details of this process should be included in your HAACP/SSOP.
- Upon return of the MPU, complete the post-rental form provided in your rental approval email. This information is required for our annual report to SMADC.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have HACCP and SSOP plans customized to your operation.
- All renters must complete the MD State Poultry and Rabbit Certification, now available online.
