A Taste of Arundel Grown

About The Event

A Taste of Arundel Grown, Arundel Ag’s signature event, celebrates local agriculture by showcasing food, beer, and wine primarily grown, raised, or produced in Anne Arundel County.

The event seeks to support local farmers and watermen by raising the visibility of what they produce and encouraging residents and businesses to purchase their products throughout the year.

As a bonus, the event supports agriculture in Anne Arundel County by raising funds for our Agricultural Business Improvement Grant (ABIG) Program and, in 2025,  the Center for Applied Technology (CAT) North chapter of Future Farmers of America (FFA).

About A Taste of Arundel Grown 2025

Taking place on Wednesday, August 6, from 5:30-8:00PM at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville, this year’s event featured:

  • A one-of-a-kind menu featuring 12 delicious dishes made by Bread and Butter Kitchen owner and Chef Monica Alvarado using ingredients from 20+ of Anne Arundel County’s farmers, watermen, and producers.
  • Local wine and beer from Great Frogs Winery, Crooked Crab Brewery, Forward Brewing, Old Barn Brewery, Pherm Brewing Company, and Oliver Brewing.
  • Powerful words on the importance of buying local by Maryland Department of Agriculture Secretary Kevin Atticks, County Executive Steuart Pittman, AAEDC President & CEO Amy Gowan, University of Maryland Extension Director Dave Myers, and AAEDC Agricultural Business Development Director Shelley Garrett.
  • The debut of Aggy the Farm Owl, our brand-new Arundel Ag mascot who will be promoting agricultural education and local agriculture.

Plus, thanks to the generosity of over 20 sponsors, the event supported agriculture in Anne Arundel County by raising funds for our Agricultural Business Improvement Grant (ABIG) Program as well as the Center for Applied Technology (CAT) North chapter of Future Farmers of America (FFA).

The 2025 A Taste of Arundel Grown Recipe Book

For the first time, we’re excited to share the recipe for each of the dishes that were served at A Taste of Arundel Grown.

Although you won’t be able to replicate every aspect of the evening, Chef Alvarado encourages you to try making the dishes yourself – using ingredients purchased from Anne Arundel County producers, of course!

Take a look at the menu and the recipe for each of the 12 delicious dishes!
