March 9, 2023

Annapolis Patch reported on the January 2023 cohort of business owners – the fifth cohort overall and the first all-women cohort – graduating from AAEDC’s Inclusive Ventures Program (IVP) in the following article:

12 Anne Arundel Business Owners Complete Inclusive Ventures Program

The article lists the twelve business owners, along with their businesses, and includes the following commentary from AAEDC Interim CEO Jill Seamon:

“Congratulations to each member of our January 2023 IVP cohort. We look forward to watching you apply the new knowledge that you’ve gained, along with your operating grant, to grow your businesses over the coming months and years. Furthermore, as not only the fifth cohort to complete IVP but also the first of many cohorts that will do so in 2023, we thank you for being a great representation of its success and growth.”

Introduced by AAEDC in January 2021, IVP aims to help small and minority-owned, woman-owned, and Veteran-owned businesses in Anne Arundel County succeed and grow by providing their owners with a wide array of resources such as business education and training, access to capital, and mentorship.

Including the latest cohort, 54 total business owners have completed the program.
