AAEDC now accepting applications from Anne Arundel County businesses that would like to receive a business visit during the week.
Annapolis, Maryland (September 12, 2023) – County Executive Stuart Pittman and the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation (AAEDC) are excited to announce Business Appreciation Week (BAW) in Anne Arundel County from October 23-27, 2023.
Returning for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, BAW is being held in conjunction with and in support of Maryland Economic Development Week: a weeklong event celebrating the impact of economic development on the business climate, job retention and growth, tax base, and overall quality of life in Maryland.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy,” said County Executive Pittman. “Business Appreciation Week is an opportunity to recognize their contributions to our communities and thank them for choosing to call Anne Arundel County their home.”
“Our entire team is thrilled that Business Appreciation Week is back,” added AAEDC President and CEO Amy Gowan. “It’s a great opportunity to meet businesses where they are, hear their stories, and celebrate their success. We look forward to gaining invaluable insight from these visits that will help keep our programs in line with evolving economic conditions.”
