The article reported that a $30,000 VOLT Fund loan helped owners Jerry and Mary Anne Joyce open the business – a 250-square-foot shop offering the Schroll’s family recipe sweet sauerkraut, bratwurst, German mustards, Bavarian pretzel rolls, and more – in Edgewater, Maryland, after years of selling it at local farmers markets as well as on Amazon (during the pandemic).
