The Arundel Community Reinvestment (ACR) Fund is designed to spur economic activity, investment, and improvement in Anne Arundel County’s eleven Commercial Revitalization Districts; parts of the City of Annapolis; Anne Arundel County’s Enterprise zone, located in Brooklyn Park; and designated commercial corridors located in South County.
The ACR offers loans up to $100,000 to be repaid over three to seven years at zero percent interest. Loans are limited to 90% of total project costs, with eligible improvements including renovation and upgrades to building exteriors and site improvements, including landscaping. In addition to financial assistance, the program includes professional architectural services provided by a full-service architectural firm with experience in commercial revitalization.
Property owners or business owners with a lease are eligible to apply, and interested individuals are asked to contact AAEDC to discuss the process and verify that the particular property is eligible.
ACR Fund loan recipients will also be offered a companion loan of up to $500,000 through AAEDC’s VOLT Fund. This loan may be used to finance additional improvements including tenant improvements, the purchase of equipment, and working capital.
