Although many folks likely got a good deal of their holiday shopping done on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, or Cyber Monday, most likely also have a few items left on their lists – especially given the dreaded supply chain issues of 2021. What’s more, a good number of traditionalists have surely been waiting until the calendar strikes December to put up their trees and begin shopping for the presents to put under them.
With this in mind we sat down with Stephen Kaufmann, co-owner of Franklin’s Toys – an awesome ArundelBiz that offers a diverse blend of new and classic high-play value toys at its stores in Annapolis and Severna Park – for the second of three holiday-themed My ArundelBiz episodes that will close out 2021.
We discuss how Stephen went from toy industry rep to toy store owner; what sets Franklin’s apart from the big box stores, from the toys it stocks to the wrapping paper with which it wraps; and how the business has dealt with (and, knock on wood, defeated) aforementioned dreaded supply chain issues this holiday season. Plus, Stephen talks about his top five toys, pieces of advice for small business owners, and places to shop in Anne Arundel County.
So get ready for some toy talk and tune in here:
