Kayleigh De La Puente

Town Center/Revitalization Manager

Kayleigh De La Puente serves as Town Center and Revitalization Manager at the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation (AAEDC), where she leads revitalization and placemaking initiatives across Anne Arundel County’s three Town Centers; Glen Burnie, Odenton, and Parole, as well as its eleven Commercial Revitalization Areas. Her work focuses on strengthening commercial corridors and creating vibrant, community-centered spaces that support local businesses and economic growth.

Prior to joining AAEDC, Kayleigh served as Executive Director of the Takoma Langley Crossroads Development Authority, where she managed a multicultural commercial district comprised of more than 200 businesses. She also served as a Program Officer at the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation, leading a range of public art initiatives within Prince George’s County’s Gateway Arts District. Kayleigh holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from The Catholic University of America and a master’s degree in public administration from American University.

In her current role, Kayleigh is dedicated to highlighting the unique assets and untapping potential within Anne Arundel County’s commercial corridors. She focuses on creating vibrant, amenity-rich places that generate both economic and social benefits for the community. A recent example of this work is the Glen Burnie Better Plaza project, which transformed an underutilized public plaza in the Glen Burnie Town Center into a welcoming destination that attracts visitors and supports nearby businesses. Kayleigh looks forward to expanding revitalization efforts in additional communities throughout the county.
