AAEDC works closely with the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC) and other local partners to help businesses of all sizes and industries in Anne Arundel County find, hire, and retain talent.

Through ongoing engagement with employers and the workforce, the organization also identifies emerging needs and challenges, including during periods of economic disruption such as the COVID-19 pandemic and federal spending reductions, to ensure businesses have access to timely support and resources.

AAWDC helps businesses in Anne Arundel County build, attract, retain, and upskill their workforce through a variety of programs and resources. It hosts career fairs and hiring events throughout the county, as well as networking and thought leadership events focused on current workforce challenges and solutions.

How AAEDC Can Help


AAEDC helps employers build and strengthen their workforce by:

  • Promoting hiring events in partnership with AAWDC to an audience of 17,000+ local businesses and residents
  • Connecting businesses to apprenticeship and workforce training programs
  • Highlighting employer support programs, including tax credits, training grants, and transportation resources
  • Providing access to low-interest financing for hiring, training, and working capital through the VOLT Fund
