demand, and a median sale price of around $500,000.
The county offers a wide range of housing options, from historic homes and rowhouses in downtown Annapolis to new apartments and condos in transit-oriented communities like Odenton and Glen Burnie. It also features scenic suburban neighborhoods such as Crofton and Severn, waterfront communities like Pasadena, Severna Park, and Arnold, and quieter rural areas including Crownsville, Davidsonville, Lothian, and Deale.
Recognizing that affordable, attainable housing is essential for both employees and employers, AAEDC provides up-to-date data and connects businesses to local housing resources.

Our Research Library features the latest data on Anne Arundel County’s economy, with housing highlighted in two key reports:
- Anne Arundel County At A Glance (monthly): Updated home sales data at the county, state, and national levels.
- Quarterly Economic Indicators: Insights on employment, labor force, commercial real estate, building activity, housing sales, tourism, cost of living, tax base, BWI Airport, and more.
Each report compares current data to one- and/or two-year benchmarks to show trends over time. The library also includes custom reports on housing-related topics such as demographics and commuting patterns.


Arundel Community Development Services, Inc.
Arundel Community Development Services, Inc. (ACDS) is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to providing affordable housing and community development services in Anne Arundel County.
ACDS provides a variety of direct programs, including homeownership counseling and down-payment/closing cost assistance, foreclosure prevention counseling, eviction prevention assistance, property rehabilitation and accessibility modifications for low-income homeowners, affordable property rentals, and, most relevant to employers, a Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit (MPDU) Program and Workforce Housing Program.
ACDS is also an experienced developer, taking on complex development projects on behalf of the County and nonprofit partners to create and preserve affordable rental housing opportunities that are accessible, inclusive, and sustainable.
